Important update about Severn Trent roadwork diversion in the Farndon, Churton and Aldford area.
Situated adjacent to the River Dee on border between England and Wales, the historic and picturesque Cheshire village of Farndon is acknowledged as a highly desirable community. Its location on the perimeter of the North Wales border, offers its residents convenient access to both Wales and Cheshire, Farndon’s parish boundaries encompass an abundance of national heritage historic structures, including the medieval Grade I Listed Farndon Bridge, which traverses the River Dee and connects the residents of both Farndon and the Welsh village of Holt. St Chads Church and tower dominate the village skyline and has stood witness to centuries of change and drama, including suffering extensive damage during the English Civil War. The village boasts an array of both essential and social facilities.
